anybody else have any experience with this? My biggest issue so far has been optic neuritis. But I haven't had an episode in seven years. About a month before the ON attack, I started seeing halos around lights at night--usually parking lot lights or traffic lights.
While the ON never fully resolved, the halos went away fairly quickly. NOW, I am pretty worried that I am seeing halos again, and have been for several weeks now. I haven't noticed any other symptoms of ON, other than it may take a split second longer to focus.
When I google it, most halo issues seem to come from cataracts or glaucoma. I am only 35 and my pressures have always tested normal. I've also read about vitamin A deficiency, but supplements don't seem to do much. I also read that halos can be caused by hypoglycemia. I wonder if I am somehow starving my optic nerves. Any advice is appreciated. But if you say go visit a doctor, I did that many times a few years ago. Been there done that. I've had every eye exam you can think of by multiple professionals and specialists. Once they determine the halos are not caused by glaucoma (thus they wont' be sued), they tend to have little else to say besides go wait for the ON to clear up. Steroids don't work for me--tried three times and I think they make the issues worse.
