THis is what has been done, does anyone know if that's enough to be expected in this amount of time?( 2 1/2 months since we sought help) Or maybe he should have had more tests by now?
One brain MRI -clear
nerve conduction test- good
chest x-ray
ekg- good except for sinus tachycardia
blood work done, hematology, chemistry, checked for hepatitis, and checked tsh level.
Also I wanted to add, I think I understand why they didn't have a specific b12 deficency test... this is what I read:
A CBC TEST:
A group of tests ordered routinely to screen for blood cell abnormalities. It measures cell types, quantities, and characteristics. With both B12 and folate deficiency anemia, the amount of hemoglobin may be low and the RBCs (red blood cells) are abnormally large (macrocytic or megaloblastic). White blood cells and platelets also may be decreased.
His red blood cells are on the the small side, his rbc is normal, and his wbc has been normal the past two times. so that would mean he is suspected of having a b12 def, right? This is just my guess based on what I read above.
Edited.... what should I expect?

I can't answer your question about B12 but I was wondering if he's been tested for Lyme disease? From my understanding, it's a fairly standard test given to someone suspected of having MS in order to rule out other diseases which produce MS like symptoms.

There are many lists of differential diagnosis regarding MS.
You can find one at http://library.med.utah.edu/kw/ms/dd.html
