Dear all,

The ECTRIMS conference takes place at the end of September. The Boston Cure Project attends the conference and produces a summary which I will copy across to this site. The number of subjects covered in the conference is mind-boggling. Clicking on 'scientific programme' provides details of the presentations and posters. In terms of treatments, data will be presented on a range of drugs including new formula Rebif, FTY720 and Mitoxantrone.

Just my opinion - but there appears to be more MS researchers than sufferers!

Carolew,

Well spotted - there seems to be presentations on a whole range of treatments. Quite a few on FTY720. Also stuff on neuro-protection and how axons degenerate.

The weak points for me are (i) little on stem cells and (b) nothing on causation.

So I expect little research news until this conference. The US equivalent is ACTRIMS which takes place in October. This is just one day and the focus is bio-markers.
