I've always thought that technology will help solve the mysteries of diseases like MS - now Sony is involved.

I see your post is from Sept but I just now found it. I find it quite interesting. I do not know what a SETI thing is that Lyon spoke about but I understand what they are saying about the "sameness" of the machines. So they have all these same machines in the public hands, that are using the publics electricity, and they just use them for a little while and get further in the process of figuring out something about a disease....well I think I understand....

Imagine if every person who had MS had a machine and a company would devote all the time to figuring out something to make it better....hmmm....so yeah I guess that is an ingenious idea. The thing I do not like about it is using it as a marketing ploy to sell kids playstations.

I would like playstation better if they offered more brain-ability type games than evil, immoral, destroy types. Not that I am against anyone playing these games, I just have an 11 year old daughter and PS just doesnt offer much for her. She won a PS for selling candy a few years ago and I think she has four games??!! For her birthday she received a Nintendo DS Lite and she has already received four games that strengthen knowledge and are not all bad. So if PS wants to sell me a machine that could help the medical world as a by-product they would have to look at their game selection and offer more alternatives.

But like Lyon said, they could tap into my home computers anytime...

Thanks for the interesting link and information.
