:( I was given Gamma Globulin as a child to fight off a childhood illness because I got it from my sister & got deathly sick...I was born in 1952 & I think this was something new back then...Could this be where the MS comes from... No one in the family had it..?

Stop this is just upsetting you. You have not caused the MS nor did your sister's illness. Something has been triggered in your immune system but none of us really knows the why's or what's that caused it. If you find the answer we have a cure. :D

They thought I had leukemia as a child & then found out it was an iron deficiency anemia & I was given awful medicine & cod liver oil.... Maybe the writing was already on the wall for me..? I know there is a relationship to T cells... My son was born with a hemangioma right about where your thymus gland might be & the pediatrician said it might effect his T cells later in life...(Yikes! Thinking about this now~!) I have noticed he has a tremor at times & he is 24.... He gets the terrible headaches that I used to get... Now I am also very afraid for him! Are the researchers doing profiles on people & comparing their medical histories,.. The answers probably lie there...I worked in hospitals for 20 years perhaps I was exposed to a trigger there? My mother used to dance with the veterans at the VA home who had MS...Did I pick up a virus that way... The doctors don't seem to want to bother with all these fears! I hear the #1 place in the world for MS is Scotland & shetland sheepdogs come from Scotland...I've had three shelties & a litter of puppies over the years...I wonder if there is something in the distemper vaccines that triggered this in me? I think people need to dig into their past & help the researchers figure this out.... I also want to figure out how to get involved locally for raising funds for reseach.... How do I do this? See how hyper I am...? I'll be up all night again...

The childhood illness..might have been chicken pox or German measles...I also had a febrile seizure at one year of age with Roseola! So did my son at one year of age... Neither of us had a seizure since...

Elders only refers to post. Once you get so many post you shall be an elder. No one is making fun of you we are trying to cheer you up. Don't let the fear take over you can't you need to be strong right now. You are safe here to post your fears but please don't take offence if we try to make you see the lighter side. You don't want to slip into the dark. There hope seems bleak and we need Hope.Hugs to you

OK I think I get it...Thanks.Who are the biggest researchers regarding this illness? What can we do? Comparing medical histories is a good place to start...What are the best books to read on this topic...I am an avid reader! Are their any celebs promoting our cause? Is anything being done with the information gathered at this site? 8O Don't I ask a lot of questions!~~~~ 8)
