Hidden pain??

Postby Jim_P » Wed Jan 16, 2008 12:37 am

This is probably going to be very confusing for most. I am confused beyond belief.

In the past couple days I've started urinating like I used to be able to. Every time it all comes out. Every single time.

Aside from this wonderous miracle, I feel like I have icy hot in my urethra, all the way to my rectum It does NOT hurt when I urinate (and I did go for a UA, last week, still waiting on results), but I am passing more urine then ever. Standing up every time.

Could this urethral pain be some sort side effect of remission?? Has anyone ever experienced this?

I'm also concerned this is pain, that I could not feel previously has come to life from days long past. Hidden pain? I'm scared that I'm feeling the aftermath of that damned cystoscopy from a half a year ago. Perhaps scar tissue, regaining sensation??

Any ideas?

great news jim! i have no idea what could be causing the pain, but you could try a few days taking 2 acidophilus pills, morning and night. maybe you need some more friendly bacteria lining your tubes??? it's happened to me before and i ended up on antibiotics for a few years until i switched doctors and they told me i needed acidophilus. it worked like a charm and i've never had a problem since. i really don't know if this is your problem too, but you could give it a shot. glad that you've got some positive change on your side at least!

Jimmy-

I just got the results back today. No urinary tract infection.

The pain isn't so bad today, maybe this is some sort of passing parasteashea (spelling is wrong), in my urethra.

I know one thing, I'm definately never going to catheterize myself with this kind of pain going on.

And for those who may suggest, STD... I haven't been with a woman since 2003 and we were exclusive for 7 years.

Maybe as your nerves are going through the healing process they are getting a little jumbled and experiencing sensory adjustments?

I hope things keep keep improving for you.

hey there, good that you don't have an infection. you don't need to have one to benefit from the acidophilus. i didn't have one when it helped me, they just thought i did. hope the pain gets sorted out, friendly bacteria or not :)
