The copaxone training lady came to meet with me at work. I have now done my first injection and so far so good. I have a small red area on a wobbly bit and it seriously stung for a bit but now it just achey stings. I can live with this!

The side effects are ok and she said that she's had a lady do an entire pregnancy on it and had a healthy delivery! Good to know if it does happen - I don't expect to get pregnant but am not using contraception (other than the fact I rarely ovulate and the MS fatigue makes sex a rare event)!

I think I'm pretty much feeling very positive!

Good stuff! One tip that I found is really helpful (not sure if the nurse showed you) is to press with the cotton ball on the injection site for 30 seconds after the injection. It reduced my welts that I was getting from injecting drastically, so I do this every time now :)

She didn't - thanks!

Yesterday's stung for the whole day and is still a bit achy - today's is way less stingy!

Whole day? Ouch! I have never had that happen for that long personally.

I always make sure the area is super dry after the alcohol wipe too, that reduces the stinging a bit :)

That fist site stil hurts a bit 3 days later but the others don't! there is some lumpyness - it's ilke a wierd lottery - what will happen this time I inject?

I don't alcohol wipe - I just wash my hands then go! I was never told to.

I have discovered that a cold pack is the best invention in the world! It really helps to calm down the stinging - I will inject myself just before I go to work, then I have the cold pack on for the drive. It seems to work!

Welcome to the zone!

I have some areas that will still be kind of itchy for a few days after injection, but like you said...I can live with this. I feel much better mentally/physically than I did while on Interferons.

I've just started my 3rd month. There's definitely a learning curve as far as where and depth etc. For instance, if I know I'll be doing alot of walking at work, I may skip the thigh zone those days as the fabric rubbing and activity (12 hrs up and down) seems to make the site more reactive.

All in all very do-able though.

I wish you the best!!
