As crappy as it can be not having control where or when you shit, it can be kind of funny. Who said MS wasn’t funny.

Yes, I do get a little bored with people who can never see the silliness in our sickness. MS is WAY funnier than most other people's illnesses. Lucky for us. :)

Ooooh, you guys have MS and have the right to define what is and isn't funny, but Bubba and I weren't even hinting that MS itself is funny.

It's sure as hell funnier than the diseases that are killing and disabling many of my friends/family.

Yet another fart story. My, this thread has brought up some fond memories!

I worked over-nights at a rehab facility with 3 other nurses, 2 of them were extremely hard of hearing, the 3rd always had her earphones in. I could hear the patients turning in their beds, so I could hear nurse 1 letting out squeakers all night, every time she walked, and often within inches of nurse 2 who didn't seem to mind/notice. Fortunately for me, neither one could hear me laughing to myself all night long.
Only 3 of us worked on each shift, and I finally said to nurse 3, "wow, (nurse 1) is particularly gassy tonight!" She had no idea what I was talking about, so I told her to take off her headphones for a little while. Within the hour she was swearing, "Sure she's deaf, but can't she feel it?"
This became an endless source of amusement because 1. farts are even funnier when you're bored and 2. Nurse 2 would never admit she was hard of hearing. We finally let her in on things and her response was, "Oh my God, my husband's right! I do need a hearing aid!"

Progress:
Benefiber + colace + lactulose = BMs 2 days IN A ROW!!!

I'm so excited about this, I thought I'd call up everyone I know... and then I remembered they probably wouldn't appreciate that much.

Sorry! Constipation is one of the symptoms my wife has faced LONG before she had any idea that she would eventually be diagnosed with MS.

Nothing to be sorry about, Lyon.
I was a RN student and a CNA (AKA: shit science) for years. Disgusting things have never bothered me, they rather amuse me.

This is the biggest laugh I've had all day. But I think you got the idea, besides Lyon, there is quite a bit of substance here. Ken

Constipation.... The Saga..... Well, I have been on the colonix now for a while with great results. However, tomorrow is my day off and I havent had a good'en (BM) in three days, even though I am still taking the colonix. So, my delima (sp) is this: I want to join some folks tomorrow for a three hour bike (motorcycle) ride. Do I gamble that there wont be a "build up explosion", or do I stay home and nervously pace the bathroom floor? 8O
