Has anyone ever gotten an infection from one of the subq needle injections, like Copaxone or Rebif?

Hi.

Yes, I had got an infection when shooting Rebif in my left arm. It was a huge inflammation and much pain and swelling. I was prescribed antibiotics for 10 days. It took about a month to clear completely.

Thanks. The reason I ask is that 3 days after injecting Copaxone in my upper hip, that area became pretty sore and tender, and there was some swelling in the upper groin area on that side. The hip isn't inflamed, just has a small mark where the needle went in. Unfortunately, the swelling is the spot where hernias also occur. The doctor thought it more likely a swollen lymph node, and suggested antibiotics for 10 days.

I'd tend to think infection, but there aren't any outward signs (redness, bumps, etc).
