I have been having severe lower back pain. It is always worse in the morning when I wake up. Throughout the day it gets better. I constantly take tylenol for it. I took 800mg motrins and they didnt do anything to help. It hurts so bad, it takes my breath. I almost fall just bending over to dry off after a shower because the pain hits all at once. I never had any back problems before. I didnt think it was MS related. I think it stems from my spinal tap. My back has hurt since then. It just keeps getting progressively worse. Although, there are some days that are better than others.

If you think that it's related to your spinal tap, then I think it's important that you discuss this problem with your doctor. Severe headaches are the usual side effect of a spinal tap. This is the first I've heard of back pain being associated with it. You may have some atypical complications that need to be addressed.

Not real sure... I know they tested my blood for just about everything while I was in the hospital. They drew blood 17 times in three days!!! I will look on the records and see. I go to the University of South Florida MS clinic tomorrow. I want them to take over my treatment. I have all my test records and films to show them. I have been taking vit D pills though? Along with the Bcomplex, zinc, mag, and fish oils... When I get home tonight, I will look on my records and let you know. I should have plenty of natural vit D, as I fish in the sun alot...

As far as the back pain goes... My back hurt from the spinal tap for a good week following. Seems to me it's just never went away, just gotten worse. As far as headaches go, I usually have a very, very low grade headache. Now that, I assumed was from the MS. I hope to get alot of questions answered tomorrow!

However, on the back problems note..
I started taking tylenol several times a day, and my back problems seem to be clearing up. I tried 800mg Motrin, Alieve, ect... But the good old Tylenol worked!

The best thing for the back, strong muscles around the belly. Its kept me going for years without major back issues from disc problems. Cheers Mark Oh by the way Bubba I must be one lucky guy. My wife loves to clean the boat, leaves me time to clean the fish.
