Hi,

I have a question for you. Lately I have been having problems breathing. I feel like I have been running and can't catch my breath even though I have not done anything strenuous. I have tried to pay attention to how I am breathing and not breathe too fast. I have to take deep frequent breaths and I still feel like I am not getting enough air. My lips are not blue or anyting. I feel like I am having to work too hard at this. If it gets any worse I think it will make me panic. I have had spring allergies lately. Does this sound more like allergies or MS? Has anyone else had something similar to this as an MS symptom?

Thanks,

Alicia

Hi Alicia -

I do not have allergies and that could well be the problem. What i do have is the dreaded ms hug. Do you feel restricted in breathing? like having a too tight girdle on? My ab muscles constrict and depending how high they constrict, breathing becomes difficult. as if i can't breathe deep enough...

Alicia,

I went through this about a year ago. It lasted about three months and went away as quick and innocuous as it came on. It was like when you yawn and you can't get just that last 5%. Like when you need to do the breathe in so hard your chest puffs out thing, but you just can't get that last little bit. If it's the same thing, mine went away after a short period. Can't give you any helpful hints or anything!! But Jimmylegs also had described having this in the same fashion; came on, stuck around for a bit, took off. Hopefully yours does that also.
