the best thing I believe is an MRI w/wo contrast (gadolinium) and then for me they wanted to correlate there findings with a spinal tap I think they called it an ms panel and after that they did a visually evoked potential which is a bunch of electrodes on ur head and they make u stare at a checker board screen. mine came up negative for everything but the with out contrast MRI. I have not yet been diagnosed. An MS diagnosis has to come with a separation of time between bouts and a separation in space as in the location of the lesions have to occupy two different areas of the central nervous system. Nerve conduction velocity and EMG are used to see of there is damage to your peripheral nervous system. its good to have one to rule out CIDP and other things but if you are limited on recources then get to the nitty gritty and go for the MRI, LP and VEP.

me, have you been reading the CCSVI info on jugular and azygous vein stenosis etc, because if not, check it out - another new kind of test is the doppler ultrasound to look for cranial drainage problems.
