Hi Robbi - yes ms sucks and for people like us who are dependent on others to live independently...But you can't give up...look into the different states of grief. It is normal to have these types of thoughts as long as you do not obsess on them. find work sheets on grief management that may help you cope...

High Altitude Hugs to ya!

Holly

I suspect any chipper "cheer up, be grateful, make life changes!" advice I could give you would only further irritate and piss you off (as it would me), so all I can say is, that blows and I hope things start to shift for you soon, Robbie.

And I still think you're really good looking (even though you're like, wayyyy older than me).

You know my advice dude, get a couple of good movies or some sports, fire up the bong and ride this stage out. Other that that you know I won't say "it'll get better" or anything like that. It just fucking sucks that you are in this spot right now. I know what you mean about getting to where you have some peace of mind only to have the ground yanked out from under you. No words can help other than I love you man, hang in there.

MS is a cruel disease. It is just cruel.

I wish I could say something that would help lift you Robbie....but having been just briefly at EDSS 9 I know what my honest thoughts were and they were very dark and bleak. I too hope that this phase does give you a break soon and that some good stuff happens for you.

i stopped taking the extra, 5 days into it, it seemed to make me feel better at the higher dose but not so much at 30 mg a day where i stayed for those extra days. i have stopped now and feel extra shitty, i don't know if you come down from prednisone even when you tapper off of it but it sure feels that way. i thought of trying some doxycycline for the anti-inflammatory affect of it. i think you could take that longer than steroids.
