Another good article along the same lines was written by Dr. Noel Rose for AARDA (American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association) several years ago. Help me out, Lyon, with the link, please.

The Reuters article here has some VERY interesting points:

...people with psoriasis are overweight or obese.
-- 33 percent have high blood pressure.
-- 28 percent have another chronic, inflammatory disease such as lupus,
Crohn's disease or multiple sclerosis.
-- 24 percent have high cholesterol.

To my knowledge, excess insulin could be the common element in all of these conditions. But then, I AM the "insulin girl."
