Discover Magazine has posted images of 3D scanning of the brain called DTI (diffusion tensor imaging). Here is the link http://tinyurl.com/yhf93qy

Click on the thumbnail picture to enlarge the image - then click on the black portion of the picture for an explanation of the technology.
