Hi Cheryl,

From what I've read, vertigo will usually come and go. When you're experiencing constant vertigo, it's suggested that you tell a doctor. What you're describing sounds like vertigo to me. That is one of my least favorite symptoms. Mine was so bad I was vomiting from the dizziness.

I'm sure there is something they can give you to make it go away or at the very least, calm it. For me, I felt the best when I was driving, it was the sitting still that really got to me.

Vertigo can be from a tiny speck of something on your inner ear (that is what regulates balance), and that speck can move so it makes sense that vertigo can come and go. My mother-in-law had vertigo and went to an ear doctor who used a vibrating tool against her skull to shake it loose. She had to sleep uprite in a reclining chair for a week to make sure it didn't fall back and afterwards she was fine. She also took an anti-nausea medicine.

Call your doctor...hope he/she can help!
