This Is MS Multiple Sclerosis Community: Knowledge & Support

I have been diagnosed with MS for over 20 years: Relapsing/Remitting. I have been on Avonex for over 10 years. Heat intolerance is my problem right now. Luckily here in N. B. Canada, we don't have many high heat and high humidity days...but lately have had a few and I am feeling it.
I always feel guilty telling people I have to change plans due to heat. I always feel like they think I am using this for an excuse to not do things. I really feel most people don't understand. My husband is very supportive and understanding, which is very important. I am 56 and have 3 beautiful grand children.

welcome, there are a couple of threads in the CCSVI forum about heat intolerance. It really takes the life out of you.

I'm from Manitoba and we are in the midst of a major heat wave. Wish I was there. My intolerance wasn't too bad for the first 10 years and this year it just hit unbearable.
