Hi there,

My name is Melanie and I live in Sydney, Australia. I had an episode of Optic Neuritis in June 2010, and the MRI showed an optic nerve lesion. I had a spinal tap in Feb this year, which was positive for oligoclonal bands. And a few weeks ago, I had another MRI that showed a new lesion in my frontal lobe (I think?) but I have had no symptoms since the Optic Neuritis.

My neurologist is going to start me on Betaferon but because I don't qualify for the government subsidy (which requires 2 lesions and 2 clinical episodes) I have to wait for the drug company to supply it, which they are kindly doing for free.

So I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'm sure you will hear much more from me!
