Hi Pip, and welcome. As another MS patient who received a surprise, "instant" MS diagnosis in the absolute prime of life (post age 50, of course), I wish I had time right now to ask more details about how you received your dx. (Feel free to expand on that.)

Instead, I'll offer a quick posting suggestion or two. If you have a specific question - like about a med or symptom - you get a lot more responses when you mention it in the subject heading. I recently found out that you can even "edit" your thread title later.

Also, don't forget to check out the "General Discussion" and "General Medication" forums and post questions there. There are posters who stop in only their favorite forums and seldom do much roaming, and posters who are interested in only certain topics. And there's a "search" function as well.

Good luck to you! Am still interested in how you got your dx this late.

The site has a couple of FAQs that might be helpful for you. One is generic to the forum software and I maintain the other.

The General FAQ

ThisIsMS Forums FAQ

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Here is a site telling about side effects which might happen. Maybe check with your doctor to give you a study showing this drug is good for the body. Information shows the drugs do not work. I believe diet is the key to healing the body for this are any other disease.

Funny you mentioned the difficulty in diagnosis being over the expected age........
Like...."sorry guys for upsetting your statistics"
I KNOW it's M.S. the doctors are still waffling in spite of prescribing an M.S. drug......and me showing symptoms and the lesions on the M.R.I.
It's sooooooooooooo frustrating.
Good days and bad days. Today is a good one :
As we say in the Holy Land......"Baruch Hashem".
