This Is MS Multiple Sclerosis Community: Knowledge & Support

Hi, my name is Joe. Im here because my wife Cindy has MS. She was diagnosed about 10 years ago and we are both 31 yrs old. The medication she is currently taking is Tysabri and we seem to have great success with it over the past year. She had come off of it in November because we were trying to have a baby, but 2 weeks ago her legs starting bothering her. Fast forward to today, she has no feeling in her feet at all and she has been in the hospital for a week and a half. She is currently in rehab and they say she will be going home in a week. We were just wondering...can anyone tell us what kind of govt or private assistance we can receive, whether its medical equipt, help with financial problems, or anything like that. We dont really know the avenues to take. We live in Staten Island NYC. She will most likely be on disability for a while and we just want to find out everything she may be entitled to, to make her life a little easier. Thanks
