Many many people are misdiagnosed with MS and really have these stealth infections. and recently I have read a lot about this controversy brewing in Australia. Please, please, please look into this and if possible hold those steroids up as they may make you feel temporary better but will ultimately make you feel worse as they suppress your immune system and allow the infections to disseminate. educate yourself about these infections immediately and if possible get on minocycline as it treats ms and also lyme. get back to google and start researching this asap.
Thanks for the response bartman.
I hadn't even looked into Lyme Disease 'til I had read your post. I did a quick Google search on 'Ms or Lyme Disease' and was rather intrigued at the abundance of information.
When I had visited my Neurologist last week for the outcome /diagnosis, I wasn't entirely sold on it. His words were 'It's probably MS. Although the inflammation doesn't look much different from the MRI film from 2009, we should probably get you started on some treatment.'
For what it's worth, approximately 10 years ago, I was helping a friend out with some landscaping. Several hours into the day, and within minutes, I was covered with ticks - literally. I had taken my clothes off and my friend could not believe how many were on me (private areas too) considering that he did not have a single tick on him. He phoned his Uncle who we were working for at the time who immediately came to us with some form of spray remedy. I sprayed it all over my body and was able to pick out many of the stubborn ticks that wouldn't fall out. To this day, on my ankles, I have these bumps that are visible under direct light. It's some form of scarring that was left there by the ticks. I hadn't even mentioned this to my Neurologist as I wasn't aware of Lyme Disease when I was diagnosed with MS last week.
I'm going back into hospital tomorrow for my second round of Methylprednisolone. In the interim, I'll read up on 'tests for Lyme Disease' and ask my Neurologist about being tested.
