Hey all!!!

Hey everyone. Like everyone else that posts here for the first time visit this website all the time. Me more like 5 or 6 times a day. Let me just say without all the wealth of info and personal stories that it makes it easier to figure out what one might want to do to help themselves.

Anyway i had my first symptom Nov of last year.. I went to a Titans (football) game with my dad who also has ms. Before i went to sleep i noticed something was weird with my thumb..like almost too sensitive. I thought it was nothing but then moved into my other fingers through the week then my leg started feeling weird..Not totally numb but something just right under the skin. It didn't effect the way i walked or anything it was just different.

When i first went to the GP he touched this place on my elbow and i about came out of the chair..He said i had Tennis elbow and gave me a dose pack. The day i started taking those my leg started to feel weird. I then developed lehmittes (spelling?) sign. I think i aggravated that myself because i didn't know what it was so i would just do it over and over and over again..After a week past and a visit to the nuero the night i left the shocking sensation that would only happen when i bent my neck started to get alot more consistent. It lasted about two weeks..

My hand was real bad but i have alot of pain in my elbow still but my hand is alot better most days. It almost felt like it was real swollen if you know what i mean. Any way to make a long story short..My mom and my dad have ms. My mom the progressive and my dad not so much..My mom was dx after i was born in the early 80's and my dad in 97..For some reason i never thought i would actually get it but oh well. I am really looking to refine my diet which is usually horrible. And take the natural approach along with avonex. If anybody would like to chime in to this post or email me about what they take and what it does would be great. Thanks for all the research you guys do and i will be posting from now on..sorry for the long post.

hi there welcome and no worries about the long post, just keep it more reasonable in the future okay lol

arent symptoms weird the way they crawl through you! i have the same thing with my hands and actually still kind of one foot. try to behave with the diet too - have made many changes!!

i also have the neck shock dealie - spelled l'hermitte's, i think!

again, welcome, and there's lots of nature nuts and i believe lots of avonexers here too so you should have great company. ttfn!
