I'm wondering how the two treatments
might work together, and if should be attempted.

Thanks :)

My neuro has me on both.

If you get a prescription for LDN, ask for 1.5mg capsules. That way you can gradually build up to the recommend dosage. Maybe start at 1.5mg at bedtime for a couple of weeks. Then do 3mg at bedtime. The highest dosage recommended is usually 4.5mg at bedtime.

I had the slope 1.5 - 3.0 4.5 - it really helped a lot - ~ME~ and it took me about 2 or 3 months to notice...
Whether is that or a "natural" slowdown of my spiraldown?? I do not know - How would I know... Just the facts :)

We think alike :) I asked for 1.5mg so I could adjust as needed...I like to think that this helped me to get the Rx. I took on 1.5 for 2 weeks, and noticed some improvement. I then upped it to 3mg and stayed there for 4 months. I was getting worse (natural continuation of disease progression, probably). I didn't go to 4.5, as I read not to do that if spasticity is an issue for you. So I went back down to 1.5, where I noticed improvement before. I am underweight and sensitive, so it makes sense to me to lower the dosage.
I believe it is helping some. I hope it is slowing down or stopping progression. I like to think that it is. I had physical therapy for a month while I was taking 3mg and am more disciplined in stretching and things now. That helps.

I am being prescribed LDN by my LLMD and Ampyra by the neurologist that dx'd me with PPMS.

I notice very little improvement with both. but I just started the ampyra a week or so ago...so...we'll see.
