Merlyn,
Have you seen this dosing? Have you tried it? Is it yucky?

I'm so glad you are having sharp, funny, interesting conversations with your husband!

I posted this once already but it disappeared so if it ends up here 2 times that's why!

Sorry for the delay, I have been distracted as I just moved and my old house is sitting on the market causing financial Armageddon… We had to move and renovate for wheelchair accessibility… I needed a roll in shower, so anyway, today is my birthday, and I intend on getting very very stoned, to push the envelope. All's I know, is that the more oil I have in my body, the more relief. My husband has been involved in some renovation work and has not had the time to make the oil… But hopefully soon. I am about to write a letter to the editor of our local paper about the ridiculous situation that we have, where marijuana is now legal to the North of us, we go to the South of us, and here we sit, kind of in legal limbo.

http://www.420magazine.com/forums/cannabis-oil/

Lots of people discussing the oil, I find the candy works pretty good because it just slides off and I don't have to eat the whole candy, I am hypoglycemic and I should not be doing a lot of sugar… So I just kind of swallowed the oil, switch the candy around and then discard… What is really infuriating is that there are a bunch of people wanting to try this stuff and of course they are in places where it is not available or legal. I really do have a new mission in life, I will not rest until every person that needs this plant can grow it in their backyard for free…

This was my testimonial to the company where I am getting the oil:

Comment: I would like to write about my experience with Phoenix tears. I have primary progressive MS, wheelchair-bound for 10 years. I have been smoking Indica since 1997, it helps somewhat to control spasticity, mood, sleep. But the cannabis oil à la Rick Simpson is a different animal altogether. It is much more medicinally potent and it gives me almost complete relief from pain, intractable pain, it greatly reduces my spasticity, it elevates my mood (and I was getting suicidal), and it helps me to sleep for 6-7 hours comfortably. I am trying to tell others to try it, but for many it is hard to afford. There is nothing in the pharmaceutical world that is helped me with my PP MS as much as this stuff has done, and I want it covered by some form of government program, they can spend $1400 a month on drugs that make people feel sick, but they won't cover this? This godsend? Marilyn

I think I'm doing a lot more than 5 mg… A woman came over yesterday that is trying edible products she just cannot handle the psychotropic effects. This stuff is not for everyone… Maybe because I have been smoking for so long, my tolerance is very good.

It will not be long now until we win the war…

Well, yesterday I tried yet another dispensary's oil, and it tastes terrible, but this one was done/delivered in a small syringe, and really detailed the contents. This trench was 1.2 mL, they said 12 doses. The contents of this syringe supposedly contains 200 mg of THC, I forget how much CBD, CBG… Five different cannabinoids. I am amazed at how scientific it all seems to be getting. This amount was $30 and not in my world in any way affordable.

I can't seem to stop myself from looking for more information on this oil. I do know that the more I take, the more relief I get, and my anger at the price is growing. Also the medical establishment's ignorance makes them all criminal as far as I'm concerned. I have not joined the class action lawsuit that is going on in the UK over this drug called Myodil, a drug that was so caustic they had to use the glass needle before they inserted it to my CNS because it would melt plastic. I have a myelogram done in 1983, and I sometimes wonder whether I am so badly off due to the strike. I mean what sort of insane system inserts something so acidic into your central nervous system and expect good results? I have come to the conclusion that it is the PhD's of the world that are destroying it. Look at the number of engineers, supposedly experts that built the Fukushima debacle? Not a brain among them…

It is going to be my mission in life to make sure that the big corporations, this GW pharmaceuticals is just stealing intellectual property as far as I'm concerned. It has been the outliers that have figured out why MJ works in the way that it does, and now we have the corporatization of this incredibly easy to grow plant… Like I say, we've been had.

It was only a matter of time for the pharmas to jump on CBD especially after Sanjay Gupta's video. That was akin to holding candy in front of a small child. They just couldn't resist.

I don't know, Rick Simpson says that the CBD is not that effective. I have smoked dried herb CBD and it does nothing for me, and I mean nothing. Then I tried some CBD oil and it did nothing so I am not convinced. Rick Simpson says that all of these different cannabinoids, some 88 of them identified thus far have different medicinal properties.

Here are some known cannabinoids and what they are capable of doing. I was given this information at my Dr.'s office (mmj Dr).
What are Cannabinoids & how can they benefit patients?
CBD
CBD has been found to give the most medical benefits of all the components found in medical cannabis. CBD can also decrease the social isolation characteristics introduced by THC. CBD have low psychoactive characteristics associated to it ranging from 0.1 – 12 percent.
Studies have show CBD’s particular medicinal values:

Helps control certain cancers
Helps with controlling pain
Stimulates bone growth
Stops growth of bacteria
Suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions
Slows Inflammation
Helps with nausea
Reduces the risk of artery obstructions
Decreases pressure in the blood vessel walls
Reduces blood sugar levels
Assists in controlling epileptic seizures
Helps reduce risk of nerve damage
Decreases the social isolation caused by THC

CBN
There is very little CBN present in fresh marijuana plants. The more CBN the less THC, medical cannabis containing high levels can also indicate its age and improper handling of medicine. High CBN levels also have shown undesirable symptoms like confusion, lightheadedness, and acts as a weak agonist of the cannabinoid receptors. CBN have a mildly psychoactive characteristics associated to it.
Studies have show CBN’s particular medicinal values:

Acts as a sleep aid
Slows inflammation
Helps with controlling pain
Suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions
helps fight free radicals in the blood stream

THCV
THCV is an analogue to THC and shares characteristics that help to increase additional benefits of THC in smaller doses. Recently studies have shown THCV in larger doses reduce the medicinal effects of THC. THCV have medium psychoactive characteristics associated to it.

Studies have shown THCV’s particular medicinal values:

Effective in appetite suppressant
Helps control obesity
Type II diabetes human testing currently underway

THCA
THCA is a precursor of THC. THCA is typically the main constituent found in fresh cannabis and will decarboxylate to its active form while drying or when heated. THCA does not have psychoactive effects but can be used as an anti-inflammatory or neuroprotective medication.
Studies have shown THCA’s particular medicinal values:

Slows inflammation
Help control cancer cell growth
Suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions

THC
THC has shown to have a wide range of medical benefits associated to it. THC is most associated with the high and Euphoria feeling when using cannabis. THC has very high psychoactive characteristics associated to it typically ranging from 5 – 25 percent. Over medicating with THC can cause adverse side effects. Side effects including disorientation and even hallucinations. Additional but uncommon side effects studied have shown depression , anger , anxiety , and even short term memory loss.
Studies have show THC’s particular medicinal values:

Helps with controlling pain
Helps with relaxation
Suppresses pain from nerve damage
Helps reduce risk of nerve damage
Helps control anxiety
Suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions
Helps control certain cancers
Helps with nausea
Slows inflammation
Helps fight free radicals in the blood stream
Encourages eating and appetite stimulation
Stimulates new growth in nerve tissue
Relieves chronic eye pressure and pain caused from glaucoma and other eye disorders

CBC
Very little is known about CBC however research has shown to have valuable medicinal properties. CBC has no psychoactive characteristics associated to it.
Studies have show CBC’s particular medicinal values:

Helps with controlling pain
Stops growth of Fungi
Slows inflammation
Stimulates bone growth
Encourages cell growth
Stops growth of bacteria
Assists in contraction of blood cells

CBG
CBG are not found to much in medicinal cannabis but more commonly found in higher concentrations of hemp. CBG have no psychoactive characteristics associated to it.
Studies have show CBG’s particular medicinal values:

Stops growth of bacteria
Stimulates bone growth
Encourages cell growth

Thanks… I know that Rick Simpson is working with Israel as his next goal is to isolate and identify the different cannabinoids and their functions so that he can better match disease with strains of marijuana… I tried to order 10 g last week and they are all out at my dispensary. They said they cannot keep up with the demand, that it just keeps growing. Rick Simpson (really this guy is my hero), says we could all be producing a jar of this oil for about five bucks. One of his greatest prognostications is that this oil can put nine out of 10 doctors out of business.

I have probably consumed about 40 g of this oil. I cannot say that it's doing anything other than relieving symptoms right now. However, not to jump the gun, but I have noticed less stiffness in my fingers in the morning. The death grip is easing I believe, it is hard sometimes to be objective.

Another one of the things that Rick Simpson said that just blew me away was that one acre of hemp could produce 1800 ethanol gallons… Are we insane? Why use corn? Hemp does not need fertilizers/pesticides/rotation… It is the most valuable plant on the planet.

I hardly took any oil yesterday because I ran out. My dispensary is out. Anyway, my hands were okay this morning, no death grip… I think they had done studies in the UK years ago, before they approved Sativa X or whatever it was, and the study said that the longer people used marijuana with MS, the better they seem to get.

http://norml.org/library/item/multiple-sclerosis

Clinical data reported in 2006 from an extended open-label study of 167 multiple sclerosis patients found that use of whole plant cannabinoid extracts relieved symptoms of pain, spasticity and bladder incontinence for an extended period of treatment (mean duration of study participants was 434 days) without requiring subjects to increase their dose.[20] Results from a separate two-year open label extension trial in 2007 also reported that the administration of cannabis extracts was associated with long-term reductions in neuropathic pain in select MS patients. On average, patients in the study required fewer daily doses of the drug and reported lower median pain scores the longer they took it.[21] These results would be unlikely in patients suffering from a progressive disease like MS unless the cannabinoid therapy was halting its progression, investigators have suggested.

Well, the dispensary phoned yesterday and they have the oil in, so my husband is driving into Victoria to get it. And I am so spastic, I cannot wait until he gets back. This stuff is so amazingly helpful. I ended up phoning Washington state dispensary to see how much they are charging for RSO and it is $60 a gram! Totally unaffordable, probably taxed to the max. Jamaica legalized marijuana yesterday. And the ex-premier of Ontario is poised to make money… Corruption corruption corruption…
