Ampyra Seizures anyone?

I tried searching the forum, but that did not work out. Has anyone experienced seizures from taking ampyra? That scares the wits out of me. If you have please reply.

Hesitant to start Ampyra

I am on the fence regarding starting Ampyra. I have a 60 day trial sitting at home. I am scared of the possible seizures. I have no kidney disorder and I do not take anything else besides Copaxone. My walking has been getting worse and worse, with my rt leg very stiff. I get foot drop and stumble from that. My rt leg also kicks out weirdly when walking a lot of the time. I ...

Source for 4-aminopyridine

Ampyra and 4-ap are out of the question here in Japan.

I'm forced to order my own and compound it myself.

Does anyone know of a good source?

Irish HSE to reconsider funding of MS drug Fampyra

The Irish Health Service Executive has said its drugs committee will meet to reconsider a decision not to fund a life-changing drug for multiple sclerosis patients.

Fampyra, or Fampridine, which is made by Biogen Idec, costs between €220 and €500 for a monthly dose.

Irish concerns over price of multiple sclerosis drug Fampyra

People with multiple sclerosis will have to pay up to €500 a month for a new drug that could help them walk, after the HSE confirmed Fampyra is not covered under any of its community drugs schemes.

FAMPYRA Price reduction in Australia

I just received this from the chemist. Originally we had an offer where they give you a months supply for free to try, and then every 4 month thereafter for free, or something like that. The manufacturer has been tryng to get it onto the PBS (ie govt subsidy), but has obviously failed, and has reduced the price and removed their previous offer.
