Need Ampyra Advice

I am torn. My left leg is weaker than my right and always have been. I have been working out faithfully and it remains the same. Although both legs are getting stronger, the left will never catch up to the right. This weakness causes a discernible limp and left legs tires more quickly. Last year my neuro gave me a prescription for Ampyra and it was my choice as to whether I wanted to start ...

Too expensive

Well I was about to receive a 30 day supply of Ampyra. But when the pharmacy informed me of the cost, I cancelled it. I have a high deductible in my Rx insurance so the 30 day supply would cost me over $1400! :-x
And the second month would be almost as much.
I could afford to pay it but I simply refuse to do it. That ...

Fampyra and 4-AP

I tried Fampyra for two weeks with no clear reaktion in walking improvement. (MS since 23 years, EDSS 6,5)
I made a break for 3 days (no significant difference, perhaps right leg worse)
Two years ago I made a test with 4-AP, 4x5mg/day.

Now I start again with a 4 week test on Fampyra.
Does anyone have experiance with a combination of Fampyra and 4-AP?

Regards
Uwe

I think my good eye is at about 20/30 or 40 and the bad one is close to 20/200. Unfortunately my damaged/blind spot is in my central vision in the affected eye. ...

Natural alternative/substitute to ampyra

Hi all
I was just wondering is there any natural/homeopathic alternative to ampyra showing reasonable results. Any supplements etc. that have a positive result with stiffness and spasticity? Any recommendations would be gratefully appreciated.

Would like to hear from people using Ampyra

Reply to topic in 'general' section:

I have been using it for about 2 months. It's definitely not a wonder drug. I'm really not sure if I am walking any better - maybe marginally. As that research from squiffy stated, I think I would get more or equal benefit from physio.
I think I might go off it for awhile and compare.
When you have a progressive condition like MS, you get in the habit ...
