Aubagio... any experience?

I have agreed with my neuro to start the aubagio treatment. I have been dmd free for 8 months. Previously on avonex. Turns out that I do need meds because diet, nutrition and gluten free did not keep me in remission. I have an mri appointment and soon to start aubagio. I guess what I am looking for is how this drug is working. My neuro tells me that it is the most tolerated. Do ...

Wanting off Avonex

I'm new here. I was diagnosed in September of last year. I am currently taking Avonex injections, Zoloft, Percocet, Dilotid, Ativan, and I most recently Valium and Flexeril. I feel like I am singlehandedly keeping the drug companies in business!

A little background on me: I'm 28, mother of 4 (8,6,3,2yrs) wife of 10 years, and we live in a small town in New England. ...

Chemical compound shows promise as treatment for autoimmune ... or-ms.html

Researchers at Oregon State University have identified a chemical compound that could be used to more safely treat patients with autoimmune diseases. After testing thousands of compounds, scientists uncovered 10-CI-BBQ, which binds to a T-cell protein, and together they pass into the nucleus to shut down the immune response by changing the cells into regulatory T cells, according the study published in PLoS ONE. "f this ...

Kv1.3 Blockers

I am truly excited by the recent research into the metabolic processes behind MS…

Research conducted in the past 3 years is looking to the Kv1.3 a voltage gated channel. This channel is encoded by the KCNA3 gene in humans and is responsible for a myriad of functions. In particular disease-associated myelin-specific T cells from the blood are predominantly co-stimulation-independent effector-memory T cells that express high numbers of Kv1.3 channels. T cells in MS lesions ...
