PostPosted: Sun Apr 21, 2013 2:07 pm
I have bad foot drop in my right leg and I'm looking around for something to help with it. I know about the Bioness and WalkAide, but I may not be able to afford these options. I recently read about the MuSmate and was wondering if anyone has experience with it. I'm not particularly thrilled with the idea of having a bungee cord going down my leg, but I'm willing to keep an open mind. ...

I have been using the Walkaide for the past several weeks with success, i.e., feeling supported enough to walk without a cane for about 1/4 mile on an even surface. However, the other day I walked in soft shoes (not sneakers as used previously) on an uneven country road for about the same distance, and I seem to have strained my foot (above ankle and around prominent outer bone on the foot that drops). Since ...

I just saw this over in one of the ALS forums that i visit regularly as its the latest advanced Exoskeleton device for those paralysed from spinal cord damage, neurological diseases etc. (myself since 1996 from CIDP). When i first saw these about five years ago they were very bulky with a large power pack mounted to the user's back and now they're shrinking in size and becoming very futuristic.

Like new BIONESS L300 system for left leg. Used less than 90 days.

I received this device last March. It did not work out well for me as my foot drop is too far advanced and afo's are safer for me.

Asking $3500. Includes entire kit plus extra stim pads.

Please Contact me if interested.

Post subject: looking for upper legs warming device
PostPosted: Wed Nov 14, 2012 2:51 pm
Hi everyone,

especially during the cold season I have an unpleasantly elevated muscle tone in my right upper leg. I can help the muscle to relax when I apply local warmness to the muscle.

I'm looking for a device that could be heated (something like a very thin warming blanket with a Velcor fastner) and wrapped around the upper leg.
Does anyone have an idea where I could find/buy such a device?

Thanks!
--Frank

This Bioness L300, Rt. Leg, Large, belonged to my grandfather. It was just used a few times. It cost $5,800. We are willing to sell it at a significant loss. We have extra electrodes.
