Shingles Vaccine ???

Hi

I hope all of us oldies but goodies are doing well.

A couple of my friends recently had shingles and I'm wondering if any of you had the shingles vaccine, and, if so, how did it go? My neuro says to go ahead and get one but I've been a little hesitant because it's a live virus (and apparently only 50% effective per my neuro). ...

Question about MS in the Golden Years

I am new to this forum and have posted a couple posts already to introduce myself and one in the Friends and Family section. But long story short, I am a 36 YOA son whose mom has had very progressive MS for 35-40 years. She still lives at home with my dad and she is now 74. New to Group

Hi! I've just been diagnosed with MS in the past couple of months and am about to start on Avonex. I'll be 60 in April.

I had a bout with occipital neuralgia back in the early 1990s which they have now said was an MS relapse, although at that point no testing was done. It was a horrible two-year stretch during which the painkillers I was on had me almost walking into walls!

Last July ...

New to this group- have a couple of questions

Hello everyone! I am going to assume I am "old enough" to be here, however, I am only 59 yrs. young. Anyway, I have not been officially diagnosed, but, current doc highly suspects MS. Which I do find interesting because about 15 yrs. ago, my dr. then thought the same thing, but, mri came back negative. However, I have been having symptoms the whole time off and on. I am currently having to save enough ...
