Greetings All...

I took various Sativex documents to my GP for her to read and decide if I was a good candidate for the drug.

As I handed them over to her, she said "is this that cannabis spray"?

I said yes, what do you think?

Before I could finish that short question she put her hands up in front of her and backed up quickly (banging into a table).

Anyone watching this would have ...

PostPosted: Fri Oct 28, 2011 10:47 am
The drug is not approved in Argentina yet. I am in the process of organizing a clinical trial for a group of us. I already contacted GW and gathering doctors down here who will lead the trial and make medical evaluations. Can I have feedback from those of you who used it for spasticity on its efficacy, side effects, impressions, etc.
Thx a lot !

IF it were possible to get a US doc to write a script for Sativex, what would he write in the general description area of the script?
And, will Canada fill a US script for a drug not sold here? Just thinking......

Withdrawal study of subjects with symptoms of spasticity due to MS who are receiving long-term Sativex

Summary: Open-label studies are not ideal for providing robust evidence for long-term maintenance of efficacy of medicines, especially where medicines provide symptom relief and where long-term use of a placebo may be problematic and not ethical.

Objective: To evaluate the maintenance of efficacy of Sativex in subjects who have gained long-term symptomatic relief of spasticity in multiple sclerosis ...

 Post subject: Sativex - Mobility/Spasticity
PostPosted: Sat Jul 09, 2011 8:50 am
I recently learned of a new drug approved in Europe named Sativex that has the potential of significantly improving spasticity. It seems to me that is also available in Canada.
I know that it is perhaps topic for other forum but it occurs that I was liberated 9 months ago and spaticity is practically the only major problem left.
Any comment/feedback on this drug?

NHS North Staffordshire has told Mr Bayley it will not fund his treatment with licensed MS drug Sativex, because his circumstances are not "exceptional" enough.

But the 72-year-old former Methodist minister is virtually housebound and is now only able to use his brain, right arm and right ...
