A board to discuss Tcelna as a treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

I know the are a few thoughts out there that strictly targeting T-cells is incomplete. I haven't kept up on the Rituxan trials but received an e-mail today from the Myelin Repair Foundation (that' probably not exactly right) and there seem to be some good results.....except for the death thing. So is it time to look forward to the Tovaxin/Rituxan cocktail? Thoughts on the Rituxan trial? Anyone?

Can I get tested for MRTCs ahead of the trial?

I'm thinking about taking part in an upcoming phase-III tovaxin trial.
Do you think it is realistic to assume that the phase-III could start mid 2009?
Can I expect that Opexa will establish studiy sites in germany?

To make sure I basicly meet the inclusion criteria of MRTCs it would be great if I could get tested in the near future.
I know that this test would not be relevant for the inclusion criteria ...

Extension study

Got the paperwork yesterday detailing the goodies about the extension study--which begins for me on May 1.

Here's what I've learned so far:

As promised, all guinea pigs get the real gunk. Yippee!

However, Opexa has decided (as of just a few days ago) that they aren't going to disclose until the end of the trial which formula we were on for Part One. I'm not sure what to make of that one. On the ...

Extension blood draw rescheduled!

So I'm literally 5 minutes from leaving the house when I get a call from Opexa. I about shit. Anyway, they had been contacted by my donation center and they had screwed up the transport stuff for the exta test tubes they have to take besides the bag. Well they got a hold of me just in time. You would have read about me in the newspaper if I'd have gone down there and they ...

Extension blood draw scheduled!

Well if finally happened. Two months behind schedule, but it finally happened. Bob told me to call down to Opexa and bug them since I was all screwed up about nothing going on. Lo and behold, the next day my blood draw gets scheduled. Coincidence?? Probably since they said they did all the first round of blood draw scheduling that day. They scheduled me for Dec. 26. I'm so freakin' happy to get this process ...

MRTCs, Masking/Suppressing, and Some Thoughts

Hi to all,

I know I have said this about 100 times, but here it is again. The hope for Tovaxin is that it will halt the progression of MS. If the body is no longer under attack, it may be able to repair some of the damage and restore some lost abilities. This might be a good time to reread my first post on the thread “Results will vary”. ...

Last first phase and first extension visit

Well I got my last first phase and first extension visit done today. They give you a much more thorough going over (almost a full physical) and all the usual stuff for EDSS. I'm now a 4. That really blows for me psychologically but what are you going to do? My blood bag for the extension is set for a week from today, but my research coordinator said to "just pencil it in" since they ...
