To start us off I've chosen an author - a Brit naturally :) - who goes down well in the UK and US, whose work is light, humourous and accessible.

Take a look at Douglas Adams, Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul available at:

Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Long-Dark-Tea-Time-Soul/dp/0671742515/sr=1-3/qid=1157363220/ref=pd_bbs_3/103-6579495-3852625?ie=UTF8&s=books

Amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dirk-Gentlys-Holistic-Detective-Agency-Long-Dark-Teatime-Soul/dp/033033431X/sr=1-1/qid=1157363552/ref=sr_1_1/202-8798677-6153469?ie=UTF8&s=books

Enjoy and we'll chat about it towards the end of October.

May I suggest we start posting reflections on Adams's book next Saturday 30 Sept?

Since Cagso you were the first to sign up would you choose the next book please?

Look forward to reading all your reactions :)

OMG...I slowed my reading to a halt. Not sure I will be ready by 30th since I am going to be driving back to Canada and I am only half way through the book. I am also very confused as to what is going on. He he he.
...and OMG! we have to chose books.

I had better get moving, too! I'm in the middle of reading something else and haven't even started yet! At least I don't have any road trips planned.

I do have a book in mind for the next selection. I'll let everyone know about it on Saturday.

Got to go now. I've got an awful lot of reading to do.
