I can tell after only 100 or so pages that this is one of those books that's going to make me want to be a better person. Has anyone else read this book?

I read it back in 2004. Beautifully written. Would really recommend this to anyone who hasn't read it.

It is one of those books that makes you feel like you are there. Wonderful character development. It's just one of those "great reads".
