Word of Advice please

JimmyLegs and anybody else, I need some advice on the supplement regimen.

My Dh's latest blood work shows the following

Ca - 9.8 mg/dL
Vit D3 - 61 ng/mL - dropped from 67 ng/mL in 4 months
Zinc - 0.96 ug/mL
Mg - 2.3 mg/dL

Currently he was on

Vitamin D3 - 5000 iu - 4 times a week in the evening
Ca (1000 mg) + mg (400 mg) + zinc (15 mg) - 3 times a week in the evening

Should we shift to taking both these tablets everyday of the week or are we still good with the 3 times a week for the combination Zn/Mg tabs ? (thinking of switchnig to individual components in a month and a half once the combination tablets run out)

please let me know your thoughts.

hey there, the zinc level is not as terrible as some, but he could try to get it up closer to 18 umol/L which for you would be 1.20 ug/mL
the magnesium level of 2.3 looks okay. when i convert it over it's 0.94. he has to ensure he goes no lower than 0.90 mmol/L (2.2 mg/dL) so he can still go higher than his current level. i think you would be fine to keep the d3 to 4 times a week, and take the mineral combo as you say until you run out and can find separate components.
