ahhh.... the question wasn't the crazy part, its my "theory" that is waaaaay outta da ball park.
So far, the only projecture i have read trying to explain the recovery some people under this treatment have undergone, is that it stops MS so succinctly and effectively, the body's natural repair can catch up on all the damage that has historically been done by MS.
My theory is, that because the cyclophosphamide kills off such a large part of the human organism, the body goes into "panic" and self preservation mode whereby it thinks it betta start repairing itself (in this case the immune system that has been wiped out by the chemo). To enable this it (as in the body as an organism) starts releasing all sorts of chemical signals for repair / regrowth, aimed at the immune system rebuilding itself. However, these chemical signals are also responded to by other cells / systems within the body. In this case the brain (or stem cells or oligodendrocytes etc etc); and hence all the recovery some people are seeing.
I am off to another forum for another waaaaaay out thought. I'm in the sharing mood.
