Did you already have a stem cell treatment? what kind and what were the effects? Have you read of any patients getting worse or rebound effects?

hi Selmahope, yes I have gone to Germany in august 2009 to get an adult stem cell transplant. My story was detailed here before. Never heard of bad side effects and my diplopia is still gone. My bladder is also better and others have noticed. I am older so I may need twice the amount that young people are getting... oh well.... Carole

There was a program on CBS' "60 Minutes" just this evening which warned against a stem cell operation in Mexico run by Larry Stowe and Frank Morales. These people were exposed as frauds preying on people with ALS, MS, etc.

Be cautious.

I caught part of that show as well. It was astounding to see someone confronted with their own lies refuse to acknowlege that the gig is up. Here's a link to the full story.

Note that I'm not saying that all stem cell treatments are as bad as the ones these two were selling. However, it's certainly a buyer beware market and there has always been an abundance of people who are content to prey upon the sick and desperate.

By the way, for anyone who watched the show, I still can't figure out how they gave that one woman an IV through the end of her thumb.

NHE
