Hi All
I am putting together a "chat" session in the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre Chat Room for those who have had SCT and those going to have it so that people attempting to have it can chat to those who have already been through "the mill" so to speak. So that the new people can avoid any pitfalls those experienced may have encountered.

I am trying to contact as many (SCTers) as possible to see if they would like this facility, and am hoping we can get this for a convenient date for everyone. As people come from all over the world to the MSRC site, getting a "convenient" time for all may pose some problems

Can anyone interested in joining this open to all chat session mail me on squiffy@msrc.co.uk

cheers

squiffs

Squiffy - it's David Lennon here; my wife Wendy had autologous stem cell treatment last week and is participating in your event tomorrow.

The towering genius who produced that remarkable research which I whipped into a spreadsheet and sent you goes by the name of Dignan in this community, so feel free to take up contact. I've seen nothing more cmprehensive anywhere and I'd love to see further practical data added (results, cost, availability, etc.) and the info shared as widely as possible.

Best,
David

Hi David,

The speadsheet is a work of art, and is the most comprehensive list I have seen. Dignan, could you please contact me on squiffy@msrc.co.uk to discuss?

cheers

Well, the first MSRC Live Stem Cell Chat Session was, i think, a huge success, yesterday, we had upwards of 25 people overall , and I would like to thank all those who came along, and especially the veteran SCTers who were able to provide a lot of relevant information for those already on the waiting lists or those just thinking about the options.

It was clear from the chat that there are a lot of MSers who have had the treatment for which it has not brought any relief, and this tempered the stories of "miracle" transformationsthat appear in the press. That does not detract anything from those who have had the treatment and have had great results, but serves as a reminder to those thinking of having SCT that it may not work, as it is still an unproven (clinically) treatment.

I expect we will hold another session in the not too distant future, as the first was so well received. If you would like further details of further Stem Cell chat session then get in touch with me.

Many thanks for yesterday Squiffs. It was very informative and I'll definitely be putting my name down for the next session.
