Nobel Prize For Stem Cell Work

Postby Chilax » Mon Oct 08, 2012 8:20 am

Below is an article regarding the awarding of the Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine to two scientists for discovering that ordinary cells of the body can be reprogrammed into stem cells, which then can turn into any kind of tissue — a discovery that may led to new treatments - perhaps the ability of reprogrammed stem cells to remyelinate? Something that could work well after the HSCT has significantly diminished the auto-reactive lymphocytes.
