Has anybody heard of the drug BG-12..??? Wife had an appointment with her neuro today and is looking to put
her on BG-12. She currently is taking Rebif and doing quite well with the only side affect is the rashes at injection site.
Anyhow, any info would be greatly appreciated.

There have been several threads discussing BG-12. Unfortunately, the forum's search utility is having a problem searching for "BG-12", but it does pick up a few hits if you take out the hyphen. These search results for "BG12" should get you started.

Note that you can also use Google to search the forum. Try using this querry site:thisisms.com "bg-12" which produces 213 hits.

There was some information on BG-12 from the ECTRIMS conference last year. You can probably pull up their final minutes on the computer. They seemed very enthusiastic about it; I didn't know it was available for prescribing now though.

Biogen just filed their new drug application with the FDA this month. I don't think that "BG-12" is available yet.

Thanks NHE, and joannedoty. Your right BG-12 is not available yet but her neuro is looking to put here on the drug when it is available. I'm thinking this will be when she has her next visit with neuro is in September.
