Loobie's 3rd update

A board to discuss Tcelna as a treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

Lew, you just made my day! Whatever the reason for-- and even duration of-- your improvements, your experience shows that improvements and recovery of "lost" function are possible. I'm so happy for you!

It's still sticking for now. We in Ohio are really dealing with the "white death" today and I had to shovel my driveway before work just to get out. Normally that would mean that I would have to wait about an hour or so before my eyes would be good enough to drive. I would also be so dizzy that I would be stuck with that for the rest of the day. My eyes went out a little bit as I was sweating my ass off, but they did not get bad at all and I was able to drive in right after shovelling.

This is really cool, even if it is not "real". I sure hope so.

Lew,

I was wondering if you are experiencing any improvement in the numbness and tingling. I ask because I was searching for any new meds in the pipeline for numbness and tingling on this web site when I ran across the discussions on Tovaxin. I have an annoying but not debilitating amount of numbness and tingling in my legs, especially feet, and hands, especially my left hand, which is really annoying because I'm left handed.

Take care,
Mike

I still have some tingling, but not near as much numbness. Mine is almost exclusively from the knees down with the tingling and the feet with the numbness. It feels like my toes are taped together and sometimes it will get painful between my toes when I'm going up stairs. That has taken a recent break.

I need to point out though that Tovaxin is not a 'symptom treater'. If this is really working for me it is because it has made the MS take a break and let my body do some healing. It really has no mechanism to treat numbness and tingling specifically.

Thanks Lew,

I didn't mean to imply that Tovaxin directly treats symptoms or that I looked into Tovaxin as a treatment for numbness and tingling. Looking for meds in the pipeline that would address numbness and tingling is what brought me to the site and that's when I happened upon the discussions on Tovaxin as a T-cell therapy.

As for the easing of symptoms associated with Tovaxin, if you give the body a chance it's amazing how well it can heal itself. So it's our great hope that if Tovaxin can put the MS on the sidelines, the body can come in and start cleaning up the mess.

Take care,
Mike
