Am I Crazy? Or Possible MS? Seeing Dr This Week. Opinions...
Re: Am I Crazy? Or Possible MS? Seeing Dr This Week. Opinion
sorry to hear the doc is brushing things off i have lesions in the spine but they are classic b12 deficiency lesions, which was in my file but disregarded due to a computer glitch when i was diagnosed.
going back to the dec 22 posts above, it sounds like your docs probably wouldnt have put you on mag when correcting low d3. were you able to do any review of your diet yet, for RDI of essential nutrients?

No, not yet. I'll be looking into that though.
Can anyone here read MRI reports? I have my MRI pictures. Well only a small handful because I had to copy them from the computer screen while I was at my dad's since my MAC doesn't have a place for a disc. Anyhow, looking at them I see what looks like white lesions but I really have no clue. I don't go back to talk to my spine specialist until the 28th so I'm just here grasping at straws. I can see I have bulging disc and herniated disc and what looks like a spinal fusion at T1 and T2. But the white lesions that I'm seeing on some of the segments I have no clue what they are from and if they are of any concern or not. If anyone can read them and let me know if they look related to MS I will post them here...if that's ok anyways.

Re: Am I Crazy? Or Possible MS? Seeing Dr This Week. Opinion
It's been a bit since I've posted. My ladt dr a physiotherapist sent me to a neurologist. I had that appt last week.
Since I have last posted I have had numbness in my pinky finger of my left hand for almost a month. It has since subsided.
So the neuro scheduled an EMG and a nerve conduction test as well as another MRI but this time of my brain and with and without contrast. He also said he suspects MS. I was just now sitting down to look at my papers from my appointment and under "diagnoses this visit" he has MS (multiple sclerosis) listed. He can't actually give that diagnoses until he's seen my MRI can he? I'm a little confused as to why he would write that down already. Any ideas?

Did he look at an older MRI? Maybe he can tell by reading that one perhaps?
Don't read too much into anything until you have all the facts. No reason to make yourself worry.
The fact that he "suspects MS" is probably why he wrote that on your notes.
Best wishes,
Chris

And what did he say about it? Was there signs of anything?

He didn't say anything about my mri. He looked at it then we discussed my history, symptoms, and other dr appointments leading up to that appointment. Then he suggested that I may have MS but he wanted a brain mri with and without contrast and an EMG with nerve conduction. He didn't mention needing another cervical mri at all. So I was aware he suspected ms but wasn't sure why he would put that under a diagnosis without actually seeing my brain scan. Idk...just seems confusing. Hoping to get my MRI this week or next and my EMG with nerve conduction is on the 9th of next month. Hopefully I won't drive myself crazy until then. But I won't see the neuro again until May.

The waiting game is hard. Just try and stick it out. At the end of the day, it is what it is either way. Stressing and worrying is only going to make it all worse on you.
if it does happen, know that there is a lot you can do against it and that MS is not the end of the world.

Had my MRI at lunch today and just got my results back tonight. That was so fast! Anyhow there were no abnormal findings on my MRI with and without contrast.
I guess I'm out of here but thank you all for your support.
