shortness of breath questions

I have had RRMS for 21 yrs. but have new symptom of shortness of breath during any or no exertion. This is my only symptom right now - no coughing or pain) but i have had it before with severe relapses. This time its been on its own for over a month. Getting pulmonary tests and know this is an uncommon symptom but does happen because of weakened muscles with ms. Having pulmonology tests, but wondering about the ms connection, so please share your experience if you care to:

1)Wondering if others have had this and if it has become progressive or cleared up.

2)What treatment helped if any?

3)Was it diagnosed to be MS related?

Don't be gentle, I like to assume the worst, then things can only get better.

thanks!

i used to get that. felt as if the diaphragm was not working properly. only happens nowadays if i get slack with the magnesium intake - it's important for muscle function. shortness of breath is no fun that's for sure! in my case the ms connection was taking lots of vitamin d3 to help my ms, but i did not balance my mineral intake properly. once i upped the mag it was much better. none of this may apply in your case, but there it is :) might be helpful. take care!

Thanks jimmylegs. I have been so luckily asymptomatic I haven't been consistent with vitamin and mineral supplements so your advice may really help. I'll let you know. :D
