I asked mine, "Why did you get into neurology with a specialty in MS?" He was shocked that I, a patient would cross that patient/doc line. I want to know, so I understand. Is he hopeful, curious, was there a family member, etc...
Well he did not have a great or helpful response.

part of the problem that I see with doctors today. Variations of what you asked are part of every job interview. Doctors work for us. Every meeting with us is an interview and/or job performance evaluation being coducted by the CEOs of our bodies - us. Every meeting should be viewed by them as such. Instead, I tend to find a much, much different attitude on most doctors' parts. Unfortunate.

I still can't work out why MS is a neurology issue???!! If all these years it has been believed to me an immunological problem why are the immunologists or Rheumatologists not dealing with it??

Just because the damage ends up in the nervous system????

I think it will now be vascular Dr's who will become the new MS specialists with the help of immunologists:)

I live for the day that happens LR1234. It is time we deal with different specialists not the arrogant neuros.
