Anyone tried Citicoline (CDP-Choline)

Its available as a supplement and has neuroprotective and neurotrophic properties and is widely uses for ischemic stroke in Europe. It is said (after encouraging preliminary results there is a phase-III trial running now) that stroke patients treated with Citicoline have a better outcome regarding sustained disability.

In terms of MS I only found a patent from 2004 that combines Citicoline with steroids, but no published data on MS.

Has anyone tried it for MS? Any thoughts on that drug?

I have no experience with citicoline. However, here's a freely available review paper on it (although it is a few years old now).

The paper's abstract states that citicoline is thought to increase the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine.
