Today, I just wanted to extend my thoughts and prayers to Sarah and other British MS friends. The attacks in London have brought back so many memories of the 9/11 attacks. Godspeed to all of you.

Thanks to all those from the US.

I was on the tube at 0920 when we were told to evacuate. The reason initially given was a power problem. I managed the 20 minute walk to work and it wasn't until I got there that the I found that the problems were much more serious.

I suspect the number of fatalities will be much higher than the 30-40 being reported. And all they were trying to do was get to work! My thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones and to those injured (could be near to 1,000).

I've managed to ascertain that everyone I know who commutes to London or actually lives there and works in the affected areas are OK.

I guess it was almost bound to happen after 2001 - I'm almost surprised that it took so long.

Thankyou everyone.

I immediately thought of you and your husband, Sarah, when I saw this on the news. What a tragedy.

Unfortunately, I think this was inevitable, and it is probably a testament to law enforcement efforts that it has taken this long.

Thoughts and prayers from Canada as well. How horrifying. It makes us all feel fragile. We have to stay strong and face these terrorists somehow. Carole

Tavistock Square where one of these atrocities took place has a beautiful garden containing a monument to Ghandi and the inscription notes his achievements through non-violent campaigns- a lot to be learned still by many I'm sorry to say.

The gardens also include tributes to the victims of Hiroshima and prisoners of conscience.

Yes, when I was studying at University College, at the Slade School, I would walk through the gardens to get to the British Medical Association, where there was a branch of my bank. A lovely and peaceful place. It will be again.
