I found that interesting, too - how the brain has been built upon over the (millions of) years. Thought the ice-cream scoop analogy was kinda funny.
There's another link with that story that theorizes how eating meat led to brain development in humans.

I can't vouch for the veracity of this theory. Actually, to me is sounds like
a bit of a stretch.

I wonder if our brains are close to "maxing out" out as far as evolution goes or is there still room for other major developments. I mean self-consciousness is a fairly new development as far as evolution goes. Could there be another level of consciousness are brains have not yet evolved too?
