I went for a few months then stopped. It was expensive and didn't help me at all. I would have continued it if I had noticed anything but sadly, I didn't. I was really hopeful, too.

Ok, has anyone had their atlas realigned and actually seen a significant benefit? I want answers from people who aren't simply cheerleaders for the procedure, but people who can honestly tell me the positives of this.

Also, has anyone had this and felt no effect whatsoever?

Cheers

i would also like to hear the bad, not just only good

The "cheerleaders" are cheerleaders because of the benefits they felt and would like everyone to feel the same if not more benefits

for me,

good-
feet are warm, before was ice cold
heat sensitivity gone
lower back pain gone
bladder incontinence better, only harder to hold when i see a toilet
lost my migraines so far
lost my constant headaches

bad(possibly)

3 days after a ucc adjustment i started to have severe entire body weakness, about a week later in a wheelchair but im getting stronger everyday now. my ucc dr doesnt think it was from his adjustment and solumedral only helped a little, my ucc dr said he never saw this happen before but my ucc dr only has a few year under his belt so rookieish, he did get properly trained

How is realignment able to achieve all of this?

Hi Vikingquest,

I'm going to copy and paste what I posted in a similar thread on the chiro forum.
Not sure if UCC benefits could be specifically pinned down to MS issues in the first place. I find the whole UCC/MS connection intriguing - mainly because I know I have UCC issues ALONG with my MS, proven by my C-spine MRI. I plan to pursue UCC treatment, because all these years I've always assumed that most of my problems were due to whiplash-type injuries anyway since they're so related to position and movement. In fact, I've had relief from one MS-y type symptom by going to a general chiropractor many years ago.

In my case, however, it would be impossible to separate the symptoms of MS from UCC injury and from HNPP (hereditary peripheral neuropathy). I assume it would be the same for others. MS itself is an ever-changing medical condition, and we all seem to be blessed with an infernal amount of other medical conditions along with it.
There are a few comments in the CCVBP/CCSVI thread on the CCSVI Forum
( http://www.thisisms.com/forum/chronic-c ... -1650.html ),
but you may not get many replies here in General Forum, because many of those posting in that thread refuse to venture out of CCSVI Land. Well, except for civickiller & fee002/sunnee/fee001. :smile:

I hope to get UCC treatment soon (see my story on p. 111-112 of that thread), and I'm really anxious to post my experiences about it. I've been charting my 30+ symptoms daily for about 7 years, so that may help me identify any changes one way or another. BTW, since my dx 8 yrs ago I've always noted that I can't pin a single symptom directly to MS, but for 38 yrs I HAVE been blaming them on my neck problems. :smile: So, I'm currently reading Upright Doc's book.

i try to think outside the box. i dont think ucc is the cure all, i think ucc is a piece of the puzzle. i think ucc correction should be done before ccsvi but even before that, diet needs to change to natural food and as organic as possible, get tested for all the possible alternatives like mercury poisoning then we can be hopefully CURED of ms.

diet = helps a little
ucc = helps a little
ccsvi = if you would need after the first two, helps a little

Well, I check out the other forums, too, I just don't feel the need to constantly post.

I had 6 or 7 Atlas adjustments by a NUCCA professional and after each one my legs felt worse (heavier when walking). She did the adjustments by applying light pressure with her hands. I stopped the treatments as I was worried I may be making things worse.

LauraV and Luv, ucc is a specialty, no 2 ucc dr's are the same. i would recommend going to see another ucc dr, the new dr should be able to get the ucc xrays from your original ucc dr. idk i was told that by a nucca dr who knows, doesnt hurt to try

Viking- the possible reasons why i was able to get all these benefits- a misaligned c1 and c2 could be putting pressure on the nerves in the spine delaying nerve signals, misalignments are blocking CSF flow which may the causes for our brain lesions as seen in the upright MRI studies, an artery maybe 2 runs through the holes in the atlas some dr told me
