His answer was 'you were never that bright', as he closed my folder he said get long term care insurance, go on disability. Nice touch eh.

WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I think legally you are allowed to punch him in the throat after that, I'm pretty sure I heard something like that in a medical law class I took haha..... Woooooooooow no way, I just can't believe that.

But yes, as soon as I see this doctor I will let everyone know how it went because a good doctor who doesn't call you stupid is definitely worth the drive....

By the way, I think I'm going to write an article on bedside manners on my blog, so I might get back you about your idiot doctor, if you don't mind, I think it definitely earns a mention regarding how doctors and nurses need to be more sympathetic towards patients, I didn't have nearly as bad as an experience as you but I definitely think my neurologist could have taken a class or two on bedside manners. I'll keep in touch with everyone, thanks!

Hi! I am in the SoCal, Riverside area as well. I also see a Neurologist at Loma Linda. I don't think she's an MS specialist though. Her name is Dr. Natasha DeMattos. Would you mind sharing the name of the doctor you are seeing? I really like Dr. DeMattos, but I am considering trying to locate someone who deals mainly with MS patients. I am newly diagnosed and still very confused. I am about to start Copaxone and not at all thrilled about it. Thanks for sharing! :)

I am in the Mpls/St. Paul Minnesota area. I have tried two neurologist here and they are unable to help with the pain I am having. For the most part they have given up. One fired me over it as she thought I was too much of an advocate for myself and should go to the ER instead of seeing calling her about it.
Not certain where to go from here?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Galway

I totally missed this reply from you! Obviously I don't get on here that much... Sorry! I think Dr. Giang is in the same office as the Dr. I am seeing now. Does he deal only with MS, do you know? I have TriWest, it's the active duty military coverage. My doctor is really nice, but I have a hard time reaching her when I have questions and sometimes it seems like she's not really sure about the answers she gives me.

I started the Copaxone a month ago. It's going okay. I have not watched your video yet, but I will.

So what doctor did you end up seeing? How's it going?
