Fighting/ managing and exacerbation, any tips?

First of all, I'm not sure if this is where I should be posting, please let me know if there is a better place to post my health/ medical questions.
So, I am still fighting my first exacerbation which started on August 1 give or take. since then I've done five days of IV steroids and about a week or two of oral steroids (Prednisone). My symptoms have got much much better, especially my walking, no more wheelchair!
Here's my question, why when I'm mostly getting better would I all of a sudden start taking a few steps backwards?
In the last couple of days my walking has started falling apart again... vision is not so great... today I'm noticing my hand eye coordination is not so great either... it was kind of hot about two days ago and I'm wondering when it comes to heat does it affect your symptoms only when it's hot or does it take a few days for the heat related symptoms to slowly taper back off?
I guess I mainly concerned about how I should really be taking care of myself to get myself through this exacerbation. I haven't started a diet yet but I'm looking into some kind of anti-inflammatory diet. I've been getting okay rest and for the most part I have just been staying home. Are there certain things I should be avoiding right now that could possibly be counterproductive to my healing process?
Thanks everyone!
