Inflamed Eye Vessels - related to MS?

Over the past 8mnths I have had 4 occurances of what looks like inflamed and broken blood vessels in the eye. One eye at a time, which returns to normal after a week or so. I've never had these before this time.
I was dx with MS about 8 yrs ago - R&R. I am quite mobile and compared to alot of sufferers I am quite fortunate. In the last two instances I know I've had a headache stemming from my neck which followed by the painful eye problem.
My vision is minorly affected in comparison to the severe pain I feel in behind the eye, especially when I look down. (Most of the redness is in the inner half, worse towards the top). My last episode was relatively minor compared to the first three, but I did see an optometrist immediately.
My optometrist dx it with a big name I don't remember, more importantly it being one of those idiopathic conditions (no known cause), but that in most cases in was not common for it to be painful. She did not believe it was associated with the MS, but did state it was likely to reoccur. She prescribed a steriod eye drop. I am only on LDN for the MS (with 8-10,000 Vit D daily).
Has anyone else out there ever had such episodes, if so did you find any causes, or any association with the MS?
