I recently slowly lost sensation in my genitals area, its pretty much numb. I am praying to God that sensation will return. Has anyone had sensation return anywhere in the body, or genitals specifically? Sensation such as no more numbness etc.

Tyr: I remember; well before being diagnosed with MS (even well before any symptoms) that I had some sexual problems worries. It seems that it was more psychological than anything else; it recovered all by itself; I am an happy married man with 4 children; a wonderful understanding wife; and have a fulfilled sexual life.

Much later I have been Dx with MS and that part of the functioning body start to fade like the other legs... My wife understanding and love replaced any other med that Doctor could give me; tho Papaverine injections were the most efficient; if that help.

Hope this help you; don't feel down; remember that even women experience strange and scary sexual moments....

Cheer up!!

hi well first off let's be clear - i'm female.. but i did lose sensation from my feet right up to my collarbone during my dx attack.

i don't remember exactly what day it came back but i can tell you that i instantly started researching nutrition for ms and using it.

i got the most feeling back from using a 'lite' version of the klenner protocol. basically a high protein diet with b-complex, extra b12, vitamin C and vitamin E at every meal and bedtime, plus lecithin and a daily multivitamin.

now i use a more thorough approach to ms and nutrition - which is sort of covered off in klenner (although it's somewhat outdated), but it was too overwhelming for me at the time.

NB i don't agree with the klenner choice for the form of vitamin E. it was the best choice in the 70s, but now we are aware that E8-complex is better.

hope that helps!

Numbness Relieved

Tyr, I'm also female, but back in 1983 or so (long before my 2000 MS diagnosis)I experienced partial numbness in one foot and leg up to the groin. It was actually relieved at my second-ever chiropractic session, on the table!

Was it due to MS or CCSVI? Don't know! But I also realize that we sometimes attribute every new symptom to MS when perhaps it's something else that's responsible.

Best of luck.

I can totally relate to you right now. I am currently numb from my waist down, including my genital region (which appear to be the most numb). I am female, but it is also driving me crazy when it comes to sex.

I have hope that the feeling will return shortly, but in the meantime, I am trying to enjoy sex in other ways. Do you have any other erogenous zones that do not include your penis? Perhaps you can stimulate these areas to help bring you to an orgasm.

I follow the Swank Diet, and have been increasing my intake of vitamin B and D. I hate steroids, so do not want to take any.

Thanks for banning my post, whoever you are.

Someone doesn't appreciate the difference between personal attacks, which I've never done, and having a good laugh, of which there are too few of, here.
